A part of my research is to extend currently existing software to work with polyploids, to research genomic variation in naturalized alfalfa in the western United States. Currently, I am working on a manuscript for genotype and ancestry estimation model for mixed-ploidy populations using genotype likelihoods.
I was also part of a lab effort to come up with efficient methods to quantify differences in microbial (and ecological) count data. More information in this manuscript.
As an undergraduate in Electrical Engineering, I worked with Dr. Suresh Muknahallipatna on parallelization techniques for computer vision algorithms on a cluster of NVIDIA GPUs (specifically, the Jetson TK1).
